Privacy Policy
1Ramadan is a Ramadan countdown app (Android and iOS, package com.oneramadan.app), a Chrome extension (1Ramadan: Ramadan Countdown 2027) and a website (1ramadan.com). We do not collect any personal data. None of them have user accounts, require a sign-in, or transmit personal information to us or to any third party.
Data stored on your device
The app stores the following only on your device (using local storage); it never leaves your phone:
- Your selected location (for example Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei).
- Your selected language (Bahasa Melayu or English).
You can clear this at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.
Permissions
- Notifications (optional reminders): If you turn on reminders, the app asks for permission to show local notifications and schedules them on your device. These are local notifications only: no data is sent to any server, and there is no push or tracking token. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
Chrome extension
The 1Ramadan Chrome extension shows a small countdown on the pages you visit. It collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere.
- Settings storage: your language, country, when the countdown appears and where it sits are saved with Chrome's own storage. If you are signed in to Chrome, that setting sync is between you and Google; the data never reaches us.
- Page access: the extension runs on the pages you open only to draw the countdown on top of them. It does not read, collect, store or transmit page content, page addresses, browsing history, form data or anything you type.
- Offline: Ramadan dates ship inside the extension, so it makes no network requests at all.
Third-party services
The app and the extension do not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Children's privacy
The app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
